Blood ClotsTo prevent a fatal stage, cholesterol levels should be normalized by lowering LDL and increasing HDL in the blood. Research shows, for each decrease in level of 1% cholesterol, reduced risk of heart disease up to 2%.

In animal experiments, extracts of garlic Allium sativum shown to lower serum cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood serum.
